Social Justice Committe
The Comitte meets monthly (September - June) on the third Monday at 7:00 pm in the Pope John XXIII Hall
Meetings always include prayer and education.
Presently, we are reflecting on Catholic Social Teaching using the book "The Social Attitudes of a Catholic"
by Fr. Michael T. Ryan
We receive a yearly grant from the parish of $800 which we use to support other organizations that request donations
to support their social justice work. Examples of recent donations ($25 - $50) are TAPS, Horizon of Friendship,
National Farmers’ Union, Inter Pares, and Physicians for Global Survival
We also carry out the work of Development and Peace within the parish - the Fall Advocacy program as well as Share Lent
Please join us. New members are most welcome.
